We practice 14th and 15th century chivalric arts, both in and out of armor, through a historical western martial arts regimen. Our structured curriculum layers skills including grappling, dagger, sword, lance/spear, and poleaxe.

Our curriculum is based on interpretations by Raleigh Armizare head maestro, Kurt Holtfreter.

Our primary source of study is Fiore de’i Liberi’s manuscript Fior di Battaglia/MS Ludwig ⅩⅤ 13 (The Flower of Battle, commonly referred to as the Getty).

Empower students and instructors with confidence, functional fitness, and resilience by providing a thorough, evolving curriculum of study and welcoming environment for practicing historical martial arts. We focus on the application of historical martial arts techniques through the lens of Fiore’s Armizare and beyond with an emphasis on consent, safety, and exploration of historical context.

Our tradition is focused on 14th and 15th century chivalric arts, arnis et sin arnis (in and out of armor). The primary source of our practice is based on Fiore de’i Liberi’s Armizare.
